Eastern Hills has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge the Alvarado Indians at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Eastern Hills is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They really took it to Diamond Hill-Jarvis for the full four quarters, racking up a 64-18 win. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 32-0.
Meanwhile, Alvarado put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Kennedale 42-7. The Indians might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine games by 21 points or more this season.
Cardea Collier continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 171 yards and three touchdowns on only 14 carries, while also throwing for 195 yards and a touchdown on only 16 passes. His longest rush was for an impressive 65 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. Demarcus Belton was another key player, gaining 241 total yards and two touchdowns.
Alvarado's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB eight times. Kennedale's QB won't forget D.J. Clampitt anytime soon given he sacked him three times. Clampitt has been hot , having also posted eight or more total tackles the last seven times he's played. Alvarado got some further help from Anthony Frias: he picked up a sack and made eight total tackles (6.0 for loss).
Alvarado was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 328 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Kennedale only rushed for 176.
Alvarado's victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-0. As for Eastern Hills, their win bumped their record up to 3-7.
