Basketball Recap: Washington Takes a Loss

Washington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 63-36 loss at the hands of the Xavier Saints. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 74-46 back in December of 2024.

Washington now has a losing record at 9-10. As for Xavier, they pushed their record up to 11-4 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

Washington has already played their next contest (against Decorah-North Winneshiek), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Xavier is taking a road trip to face off against Dubuque Senior at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Xavier's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six matchups.
