Baseball Game Preview: Westmont Warriors vs. Willow Glen Rams

For the second straight game, Westmont will face off against Willow Glen. The Warriors will be playing in front of their home fans against the Rams at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.

Westmont lost 8-2 to Willow Glen on Wednesday.

For Willow Glen's part, Dante Pini looked comfortable as he tossed four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. Pini has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Tommy Moran, who went 1-for-2 with three stolen bases and two runs. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Austin Korba, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.

The victory (which was Willow Glen's ninth in a row) raised their record to 19-6. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.9 runs on average over those games. As for Westmont, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-20-1.
