Softball Recap: Conrad Picks Up Fifth Consecutive Win

Conrad made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Kimball, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Conrad Chargers were the clear victor by a 25-10 margin over the Kimball Knights on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Chargers, who have now won seven matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

The victory (which was Conrad's fifth in a row) raised their record to 9-4. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.6 runs over those games. As for Kimball, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-6.

Conrad will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Lincoln at 6:30 p.m. on March 18th. Lincoln has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.18 runs per game on average), something Conrad will no doubt try to take advantage of. Kimball will also get a bit of a break before their next game: they'll face off against North Dallas at 6:30 p.m. on March 19th. North Dallas will aim to continue their five-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.
