Basketball Recap: Union County's Win Ends 13-Game Losing Streak on the Road

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Branford, Union County was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 50-35 victory over the Cedar Key Sharks. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 46-37 back in November of 2024.

Heaven Scott was nothing short of spectacular: she went 10 of 14 on her way to 22 points and three steals. Gabrielle Moore was another key player, going 7 for 11 on her way to 14 points.

Union County's win ended a 13-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-10. As for Cedar Key, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.

Union County will venture away from home to square off against Santa Fe at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Cedar Key, they will welcome Bronson at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
