New Brockton lost against Straughn two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Gamecocks lost 3-0 to the Tigers.

The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-11, 25-17.

New Brockton's loss dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Straughn, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-9 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Straughn beat New Brockton by a score of 2-0 on Saturday.
