Baseball Recap: Flat Rock's Undefeated Season over After Four Games

If Flat Rock was riding high fresh off their 21-3 takedown of Lincoln Park last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Rams fell 5-1 to the Huron Chiefs on Tuesday. The Rams haven't had much luck with the Chiefs recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Flat Rock got a good showing from Jayden Yancy, who tossed 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

At the plate, Flat Rock saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alex Baron, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Having lost for the first time this season, Flat Rock fell to 3-1. As for Huron, they pushed their record up to 4-0 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Flat Rock is set to take on their familiar foe Milan at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Rams 3.5, the Big Reds 3.2) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Huron will challenge rival St. Mary Catholic Central at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
