Football Recap: South Lenoir Blue Devils vs. North Johnston Panthers
South Lenoir couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They had to suffer through a 30-0 loss at the hands of the North Johnston Panthers. The loss leaves the Blue Devils without a win on the season.
Leading North Johnston to victory were Kaleb Pone and Maleek Farris-Teachey. Pone rushed for 127 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries, while Farris-Teachey rushed for 80 yards and two touchdowns.
South Lenoir will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Dixon at 7:00 p.m. on September 6th. As for North Johnston, they will be playing at home against Rosewood at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
