Mater Dei is ranked highly in their home state and on Friday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Chandler. The Monarchs walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Wolves. Winning may never get old, but the Monarchs sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Ben Smith paced Mater Dei's offense, picking up 11 kills. Smith got some help from Michael Galvin and his 14 assists.

Mater Dei's win bumped their record up to 12-8. As for Chandler, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 11-3.

Mater Dei wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 1-1 tie against Higley on the 28th. As for Chandler, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Perry on the 28th.
