Softball Recap: North Side Comes Up Short

North Side came up into this matchup off a tough 11-run loss last Tuesday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Cleburne Yellowjackets by a score of 6-4 on Friday. The Steers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Yellowjackets apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

North Side's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Cleburne, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1.

Looking ahead, North Side will take on Arlington in a tournament on Saturday. As for Cleburne, they will be taking part in a tournament against Ryan at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Cleburne is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.7 runs per game this season.
