Football Recap: Oliver Springs Takes Down North Greene in a Playoff Battle + How To Watch

It's playoff time, and Oliver Springs had no trouble coming through when it counted. They strolled past the North Greene Huskies with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 34-18. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Bobcats also won the last time the pair played back in November of 2023.

Oliver Springs' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Liam Boeke led the charge by throwing for 360 yards and five TDs while picking up 15.7 yards per attempt. Those five passing touchdowns gave Boeke a new career-high. Jaxon Jett was Boeke's top target, picking up 113 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns, while also rushing for 51 yards.

Oliver Springs didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited North Greene to a completion percentage of just 35.3%. The Bobcats weren't nearly as limited: they posted one of 60.9%.

Oliver Springs didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Jett, Nathanial Fletcher, and Nathan Jones picked up one apiece. That interception was Fletcher's first of the season.

Oliver Springs' win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-4. The road victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 38.0 points over those games. As for North Greene, their loss dropped their record down to 6-5.

Looking ahead, Oliver Springs will venture away from home to take on South Pittsburg on Friday. The Pirates' defense has only allowed 4.6 points per game this season, so the Bobcats' offense will have their work cut out for them. North Greene does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
