Volleyball Recap: Powell Comes Up Short

If Powell was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Gibbs on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Panthers fell just short of the Jackson County Blue Devils by a score of 2-1 on Friday.

Powell's defeat dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Jackson County, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.

Powell didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Buckhorn on the 12th. As for Jackson County, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Henry Clay on the 12th.
