Volleyball Recap: Riesel Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Avery Jackson and Addi Cope

Riesel's tournament run continued when they took on Palmer on Thursday. The Indians took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs. The Indians have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

While Riesel was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-18.

Riesel's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Addi Cope, who had 11 digs and two assists, and Avery Jackson, who had five assists and four digs.

Riesel's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Palmer, they pushed their record up to 8-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Riesel has already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Chilton on the 21st. As for Palmer, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Centerville on the 21st.
