Battle Creek Academy takes loss despite strong efforts from Sofia Keller and Olivia Keller

Recap: Battle Creek Academy Tigers vs. Kalamazoo HomeSchool Cougars

On Tuesday, Battle Creek Academy was the victim of a tough 50-25 loss at the hands of Kalamazoo HomeSchool. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Battle Creek Academy has scored all season.

Battle Creek Academy's loss came despite strong showings from Olivia Keller and Sofia Keller. Keller scored two points along with 12 rebounds and seven blocks, while Keller scored 13 points along with nine rebounds and seven blocks. That was a full 52% of Battle Creek Academy's points, marking the sixth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.

This is the second loss in a row for Battle Creek Academy and nudges their season record down to 4-2. As for Kalamazoo HomeSchool, their victory was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-3.

Battle Creek Academy will face off against Factoryville Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams have allowed few points on average, (Factoryville Christian: 19.8, Battle Creek Academy: 27.3) so any points scored will be well earned. As for Kalamazoo HomeSchool, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Howardsville Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Howardsville Christian's defense has only allowed 22.8 points per game this season, so Kalamazoo HomeSchool's offense will have their work cut out for them.
