Sandy Valley had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Tuscarawas Central Catholic on Tuesday. The Cardinals' pitchers stepped up to hand the Saints a 10-0 shutout.

Meanwhile, Hiland didn't have quite enough to beat Sandy Valley on Monday and fell 5-4. The loss was the Hawks' first of the season.
