Basketball Recap: Onaway Takes a Loss

Onaway lost against Bellaire back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Onaway Cardinals took a 54-36 bruising from the Bellaire Eagles. While losing is never fun, the Cardinals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 678th, while the Eagles are ranked 257th).

Onaway has also been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-15 record this season. The victory (which was Bellaire's fifth in a row) raised their record to 18-4.

Coming up, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Cardinals face off against the Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Bellaire does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
