Volleyball Recap: West Jefferson Comes Up Short

West Jefferson came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Fairbanks Panthers, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Roughriders have suffered since September 19, 2024.

West Jefferson took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-8, 25-10, 25-16.

West Jefferson's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Fairbanks, their win bumped their record up to 2-0.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. West Jefferson will square off against rival Mechanicsburg at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Fairbanks is set to face off against their familiar foe West Liberty-Salem at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
