Football Recap: Northgate Takes a Loss

Northgate fell victim to Laurel and their airtight defense on Friday. They were outmatched by the Spartans and fell 50-0. The Flames haven't had much luck with the Spartans recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Laurel's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Nathan Hill, who rushed for 85 yards and a pair of scores on only 11 carries. Kolton Carlson helped out on the ground, rushing for 103 yards.

Northgate's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Laurel, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Northgate is set to square off against their familiar foe South Side at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Laurel will challenge rival Summit Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
