Basketball Recap: Bay Takes a Loss

Bay lost against East Poinsett County back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Bay Yellowjackets took a hard 79-62 fall against the East Poinsett County Warriors.

East Poinsett County was led to victory by Tyrus Reel and Jacob Gaines. Reel went 11 of 12 on his way to 32 points, while Gaines almost dropped a double-double on 26 points and nine boards. Gaines' evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Quincy Perry was another key player, putting up ten points and six rebounds.

Bay's loss dropped their record down to 15-7. As for East Poinsett County, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-4.

Bay didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 70-54 win against Marmaduke on the 20th. As for East Poinsett County, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 50-49 defeat against Osceola on the 18th.
