Valley Christian wins going away against East Palestine

The Valley Christian Eagles had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They strolled past East Palestine with points to spare, taking the game 63-49. That's another feather in the cap for Valley Christian, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.

East Palestine's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kyler Bourne, who scored 17 points along with 5 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Owen Jurjavicic, who scored 14 points along with 6 assists and 5 rebounds.

Valley Christian's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for East Palestine, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
