Basketball Recap: New Hampstead Phoenix vs. Benedictine Cadets
New Hampstead was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost an 81-78 heartbreaker at the hands of the Benedictine Cadets. While losing is never fun, the Phoenix can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 179th, while the Cadets are ranked 40th).
It was another big night for Caleb Jones, who shot 5-for-8 from deep and dropped a double-double with 49 points and 11 rebounds for Benedictine.
