Baseball Recap: Mount Michael Benedictine Victorious

Mount Michael Benedictine's game on Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 win over the Omaha North Vikings. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Knights as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Preston Peatrowsky looked comfortable as he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He also tossed no walks, which is notable because Mount Michael Benedictine is 3-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 6-9 otherwise.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Camden Cerone, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Leo Sheridan was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

Mount Michael Benedictine's win bumped their record up to 9-10. As for Omaha North, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-12 record this season.
