Midland Legacy waltzed into their contest on Saturday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Denver City Mustangs. That's more bragging rights for the Rebels, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Midland Legacy was actually outscored in aggregate across those four sets (94-92), but they still managed to win. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 15-25, 27-25, 25-23.

Midland Legacy's win bumped their record up to 23-11. As for Denver City, their defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 20-8.

Midland Legacy and Denver City will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Rebels will challenge rival San Angelo Central at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Denver City is set to face off against their familiar foe Brownfield at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
