Basketball Recap: Ridgeland Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Ridgeland). They took their game on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 71-32 victory over the Royal Live Oaks Academy Royal Knights. The win was some much needed relief for Ridgeland as it spelled an end to their nine-game losing streak.

Ridgeland got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jabien Harris out in front who posted 25 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Harris has scored at least a third of Ridgeland's points. Another player making a difference was Jordan Sanders, who earned 19 points.

Ridgeland's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-9. As for Royal Live Oaks Academy, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Ridgeland will take on Bamberg-Ehrhardt at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Royal Live Oaks Academy, they will square off against Denmark-Olar at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
