Football Recap: Lamar Takes a Loss

Lamar fell victim to Ozark and their airtight defense on Friday. They were beaten by the Hillbillies 47-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Warriors in their meetings with the Hillbillies: they've now lost five in a row.

Eli Jones threw for 55 yards. Brailon Carr was his top target, picking up 35 receiving yards.

Lamar's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Ozark, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lamar will host Waldron at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Ozark, they will be playing at home against Clinton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Hillbillies will need to watch out since the Yellowjackets have now posted at least 31 points in their last three matchups.
