Softball Recap: Noble Comes Up Short

Noble was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Bonny Eagle Scots, falling 17-0. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Knights were not able to get on the board.

Noble's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Bonny Eagle, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-2.

Coming up, Noble is taking a road trip to take on Marshwood at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Knights' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Hawks have averaged an impressive 6.8 runs per game this season. As for Bonny Eagle, they will face off against Sanford at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Spartans have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 16.3 runs per game on average), something the Scots will no doubt try to take advantage of.
