Sickles had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-0 victory over the East Lake Eagles on Thursday. The win was familiar territory for the Gryphons, who have now won six matchups in a row.

Sickles' victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Sean Kloehn, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases. That's the most stolen bases Kloehn has posted since back in March of 2025.

Sickles' win bumped their record up to 18-8. As for East Lake, the loss snapped their winning streak at 11 games and leaves them with a 21-4 record.

As of now, neither Sickles nor the Eagles have any future games scheduled.
