Basketball Recap: Newman International Academy Takes a Loss

Newman International Academy lost against DasCHE back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Newman International Academy Warriors were beaten by the DasCHE Spartans 63-35. The Warriors were down 46-24 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

DasCHE's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Moses Obudo, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 12 boards. The dominant performance gave Obudo a new career-high in points. Jadon Comeaux was another key player, going 9 of 15 on his way to 23 points and five steals.

Newman International Academy's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-12. As for DasCHE, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-6.

Newman International Academy and Nazarene Christian Academy will round out the year against one another at at 10:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for DasCHE, they will face off against Springtown at 11:30 a.m. on Friday. DasCHE is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60.7 points per game this season.
