Volleyball Recap: Ottawa Cyclones vs. Eudora Cardinals

Ottawa and Eudora squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Ottawa had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Cardinals by a score of 2-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cardinals this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in September.

Becca Meyer paced Ottawa's offense, picking up eight kills. Meyer got some help from Leah Askins-Dieterich and her 16 assists. Ainsly Michel controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Ottawa has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-23 record this season. As for Eudora, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 26-10.

Ottawa does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Eudora, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against Hayden on the 25th.
