Basketball Game Preview: Rochester Prep Tigers vs. Bishop Kearney Kings

The Rochester Prep Tigers will take on the Bishop Kearney Kings at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Rochester Prep is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.

Last Tuesday, Rochester Prep came up short against Avon and fell 65-54. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 238th, while the Braves are ranked 60th).

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bishop Kearney). They blew past Rochester Academy, posting an 88-53 win. The victory was some much needed relief for the Kings as it spelled an end to their seven-game losing streak.

Rochester Prep now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Bishop Kearney, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-7.

Rochester Prep ended up a good deal behind Bishop Kearney in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, losing 74-57. Can Rochester Prep avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
