Gorham Fayette's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Stryker Panthers by a score of 7-2. The Eagles' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Caden Leininger made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Carter Lavinder, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, one triple, and one run. Those hits marked the first that he has got this season. Mason Leininger was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.

Gorham Fayette's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-6. As for Stryker, they dropped their record down to 1-11 with the defeat, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.
