Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Northeast walked away with it. They were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over the Arundel Wildcats on Wednesday. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 16 matchups by six runs or more this season.

The win (which was Northeast's 11th in a row) raised their record to 23-1. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.9 runs on average over those games. As for Arundel, they moved to 15-5 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Northeast beat the Wildcats by a score of 12-2 later that day.
