Softball Recap: Holmes Wins Going Away Against Eastlake

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Magnolia, Holmes was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They were the clear victor by a 10-4 margin over the Eastlake Falcons. The contest marked the Huskies' most dominant victory of the season so far.

The team relied heavily on Sydnie Rios, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and one double. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Hannah Melendez was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-4.

Holmes now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Eastlake, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Holmes will square off against Stevens at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Eastlake, they will challenge Del Valle at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
