After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Tri-Valley, Minersville was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over Weatherly. The victory was some much needed relief for the Battlin' Miners as it spelled an end to their four-match losing streak.
Minersville was especially dominant in the first set. The final score came out to 25-9, 25-22, 22-25, 25-17.
The win was their first at home , bumping their record up to 2-5. As for Weatherly, they dropped their record down to 1-11 with the loss, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.
Coming up, Minersville will square off against Nativity BVM at 7:00 p.m. on October 2. As for Weatherly, they have already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Schuylkill Haven on the 25th.
