Recap: St. Bonaventure Seraphs vs. Calabasas Coyotes
The St. Bonaventure Seraphs entered their tilt with the Calabasas Coyotes with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. St. Bonaventure put the hurt on Calabasas with a sharp 42-21 victory on Friday. The result was nothing new for St. Bonaventure, who have now won four matches by 21 points or more so far this season.
Leading St. Bonaventure to victory were Koen Glover and Anthony Wolter. Glover rushed for 99 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries, while Wolter threw for 260 yards and four touchdowns while completing 90.9% of his passes. Another player making a difference was DJ Doss, who picked up 110 receiving yards and a touchdown.
St. Bonaventure's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB three times. Leading the way was Matt Perez and his two sacks.
When it comes to explaining why Calabasas lost, one person who can't be blamed is Adam Geukens. Despite the final result, he gained 97 total yards and two touchdowns.
St. Bonaventure's victory was their third straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 7-3. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 28.7 points per game. As for Calabasas, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9.
St. Bonaventure will head out on the road to face off against Oaks Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Oaks Christian has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 229 points over their last five matchups. As for Calabasas, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Westlake at 7:00 p.m. Westlake has now lost eight straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since August 18.
