Baseball Game Preview: Mt. Pleasant Kilties vs. Paul Cuffee

The Mt. Pleasant Kilties will face off against Paul Cuffee at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Mt. Pleasant's pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so Paul Cuffee's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Mt. Pleasant easily dispatched Classical on Thursday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Kilties fell just short of Tiverton by a score of 7-5 on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for the Kilties in their meetings with the Tigers: they've now lost four in a row.

Meanwhile, Paul Cuffee was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against Tolman, falling 12-2.

Paul Cuffee saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nick Filpo, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Mt. Pleasant's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Paul Cuffee, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-8.

Mt. Pleasant took their win against Paul Cuffee when the teams last played on April 1st by a conclusive 11-1 score. Will the Kilties repeat their success, or do Paul Cuffee have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
