Baseball Recap: Jordan Takes Down Roy in a Playoff Battle

With a playoff win on the line, Jordan rose to the challenge on Saturday. They blew past the Roy Royals 12-2. The Beetdiggers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 games by seven runs or more this season.

CJ SUMNER was a standout: he went 2-for-5 with three RBI, two doubles, and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted over his last 12 matches. JAYDEN MONTOYA was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Jordan kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. They are a perfect 8-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

The win made it two in a row for Jordan and bumps their season record up to 17-10. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 3 runs in those games. As for Roy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-16 record this season.

As of now, neither Jordan nor Roy have any future games scheduled.
