Softball Recap: Alexandria Valley Cubs vs. White Plains Wildcats

White Plains typically has all the answers at home, but on Monday Alexandria proved too difficult a challenge. They walked away with a 12-8 win over the Wildcats. The Valley Cubs haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Pressley Slaton made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out nine batters over 3.2 innings while giving up three earned runs off seven hits. Slaton was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with two RBI.
