Baseball Recap: Temescal Canyon Wins Going Away Against West Valley

Temescal Canyon won the last time they faced West Valley and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Titans put the hurt on the Mustangs with a sharp 10-3 victory. Considering the Titans have won nine contests by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Temescal Canyon got a great performance from Tristan Skaggs-Whittle as he struck out seven batters over six innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits.

At the plate, Brock Dixon was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Gannon Gonzales, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Temescal Canyon kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in February.

The win made it two in a row for Temescal Canyon and bumps their season record up to 16-3-1. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for West Valley, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-9.

Temescal Canyon will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Mustangs: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
