Baseball Game Preview: Central Dauphin Rams vs. Cedar Cliff Colts

The Central Dauphin Rams are taking a road trip to challenge the Cedar Cliff Colts at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Central Dauphin is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to ten runs on Saturday, they were much more limited against Chambersburg on Monday. They fell just short of the Trojans by a score of 2-1.

Adam Reeser was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over five innings pitched. That's the fewest hits he has allowed since back in May of 2024.

At the plate, Tommy Powell made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one double.

Meanwhile, Cedar Cliff entered their contest against Manheim Township on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Colts fell 6-3 to the Blue Streaks. The Colts have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Grant Enders was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one triple and two RBI. That triple was his first of the season.

The defeat was their first at home , dropping their record down to 7-4. As for Central Dauphin, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.

Central Dauphin suffered a grim 11-0 defeat to Cedar Cliff in their previous meeting on April 1st. Can the Rams avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
