It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Seminole ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They pulled ahead with a 70-69 photo finish over the Osceola Warriors. For the Warhawks, this counts as revenge for the 55-53 victory the Warriors walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2024.

Osceola lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Jackson Bird, who dropped a double-double with 20 points and ten assists. He has been hot, having posted nine or more assists the last six times he's played. Another player making a difference was Tyson Jenezon, who went 6-for-11 from beyond the arc on his way to 24 points.

Seminole now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Osceola, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.

Seminole will be home for the holidays to greet Palm Harbor University at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. The Warhawks' defense better be ready for this one: the Hurricanes have averaged an impressive 57 points per game this season. As for Osceola, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Dunedin at 2:30 p.m. on the 27th.
