Volleyball Recap: Claire Monjarez-Palermo's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Bellevue West over Burke

Bellevue West lost against Burke back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Thunderbirds fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 2-1. The Thunderbirds have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Several Thunderbirds players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Claire Monjarez-Palermo, who had ten digs and one assist. Another player making a difference was Sophia Miller, who had six digs and three aces.

Lauren Raduechel had a dynamite game For Burke., getting 23 digs. That's the most digs Raduechel has posted over her last six contests.

Bellevue West's loss dropped their record down to 10-23. As for Burke, their victory bumped their record up to 11-20.

Bellevue West does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Burke, they will head out on the road to square off against Lincoln Southwest at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Silver Hawks will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Bulldogs surely won't give up without a fight.
