Basketball Recap: Kenwood Gets the Win

Kenwood is still undefeated this season after their matchup against Simeon on Thursday, but Simeon came as close as anyone has to beating them. The Kenwood Broncos skirted past the Simeon Wolverines 58-55. This was payback for the Broncos, who suffered a 58-50 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Kenwood's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-0. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.0 points per game. As for Simeon, their loss ended a six-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 4-1.

It'll be an old-fashioned rodeo when the Kenwood Broncos duke it out with the Downers Grove South Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Downers Grove South knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Kenwood likes a good challenge. As for Simeon, they will take on Niles North at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
