Cristo Rey's defeat came about despite a quality game from Nate Getahun, who went 6 of 11 on his way to 15 points along with six boards and three blocks. That was a full 48.4% of Cristo Rey's points, marking the fourth time in a row he's posted more than a third of the team's points.

Meanwhile, Grandview Heights came up short against Whitehall-Yearling on Thursday and fell 65-57. The Bobcats haven't had much luck with the Rams recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Cristo Rey's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Grandview Heights, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.
