Basketball Game Preview: Centennial Hawks vs. Hobbs Eagles

Centennial is 0-10 against Hobbs since January of 2017 but things could change on Tuesday. The Hawks are taking a road trip to challenge the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Centennial is headed out to face Hobbs after opening their season at home and giving their fans just what they were looking for. The Hawks enjoyed a cozy 62-48 victory over Los Lunas on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Hobbs was able to grind out a solid win over Sandia last Saturday, taking the game 68-57. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.

Centennial suffered a grim 64-42 defeat to Hobbs when the teams last played back in December of 2024. Can the Hawks avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
