Basketball Recap: Jonathan Meadows' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Northwood Academy over First Baptist School

Northwood Academy lost against First Baptist School back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Northwood Academy Chargers took a 65-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of the First Baptist School Hurricanes. The Chargers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Northwood Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Jonathan Meadows, who posted eight points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Quincy Lingard, who had 12 points.

Northwood Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-21. As for First Baptist School, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-12.

Northwood Academy and First Baptist School could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps South Carolina Rankings. Northwood Academy will square off against Pinewood Prep at 7:30 p.m. on Monday down 197 places (246 vs. 49). Meanwhile, First Baptist School (ranked 183rd) will meet Porter-Gaud (ranked 48th) at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
