Volleyball Recap: Mattoon Comes Up Short

Mattoon lost against Normal University back in September of 2016 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Greenwave took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pioneers.

Marissa Waggle paced Mattoon's offense, picking up two kills. Waggle got some help from Khloe Hall and her six assists.

Mattoon's loss dropped their record down to 12-14. As for Normal University, the victory (which was their 12th in a row) raised their record to 20-4.

Mattoon didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Tri-Valley on the 4th. As for Normal University, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Armstrong on the 4th.
