Softball Recap: Forks Spartans vs. North Beach Hyaks

After flying high against North Beach on Tuesday, Forks came back down to earth. The Spartans lost 21-8 to the Hyaks on Tuesday. The Spartans were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Hyaks earlier this season, when they won 15-0.

Kailyn Crowder was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits. Crowder was also big at the plate, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That hit was her first of the season.

In other batting news, Adera Thiel made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole two bases. Sara Sifuentes was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.
