Basketball Recap: Palmer's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Palmer won the last time they faced Elba, and Brady Myers did his part to make sure it happened again. The Palmer Tigers claimed a resounding 79-39 victory over the Elba Bluejays thanks in part to Myers, who posted 20 points. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points.

Elba lost on Tuesday despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Ethan Lange, who had 21 points. That was a full 53.8% of Elba's points, marking the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Blake Barg, who put up 11 points and eight rebounds.

Palmer moved to 2-6 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak. As for Elba, they are on a 27-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Palmer will square off against Elba at 7:30 p.m. on January 9th. Elba has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for they, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 41-21 victory against Burwell on the 3rd.
