Soccer Recap: Roosevelt Picks Up Second Consecutive Victory

It's playoff time, and Roosevelt had no trouble coming through when it counted. Their defense stepped up to hand the East Bakersfield Blades a 2-0 shutout on Saturday. The win made it back-to-back victories for Roosevelt.

Jonathan Berber and Giovanni Alvarez scored both of Roosevelt's goals, bringing their combined season tally to four goals.

Roosevelt's victory bumped their record up to 12-5-5. As for East Bakersfield, they moved to 14-7-4 with that loss, which also ended their three-match winning streak.

Coming up, Roosevelt is taking a road trip to face off against Arvin at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. East Bakersfield does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
